It is wrong to judge someone in general, but it is even more wrong to judge someone based on their heritage or family line. Just because one person was a dictator or a terrible person doesn't mean that the person next in the family tree is as terrible.
I'm not sure how many One Piece fans are out there, but for anyone who does read the manga, Ace and Edward Newgate is a perfect example. Almost everyone hated Ace because he was the son of the pirate king, who beyond comparison to any other pirate. But, unlike all the pirates, Edward Newgate loved Ace as the person he was, not as the person he came from. It's almost ironic, as Newgate was once enemies with Ace's father, but embraces his son willingly.
"It doesn't matter who your parents are. Everyone is a child of the sea."
-Edward Newgate
Unlike Ace, Pearl faces the ultimate unfairness of predestination. She is seen as an imp or a freakish elf. However, because Pearl doesn't have control of the past, she can only accept society's viewpoints on her.
